Step 1: Download the App
Download the Minnesota Drivers Cooperative app on iOS or Android, sign up as a driver, and complete your profile.
Step 2: Attend an Orientation Session
Attend an orientation session, either virtually or in person. You’ll learn about your rights and responsibilities, as well as the benefits of cooperative membership. This step also prepares you for a successful experience as a driver-owner.
Step 3: Sign Membership Agreement
After orientation, you will receive and sign a membership agreement outlining your rights, responsibilities, and obligations as a cooperative member. You’ll also agree to a mandatory background check conducted by the coop.
Step 4: Background Check
A background check is required to complete your membership. There is a $50 fee to cover the cost of the check, which will determine your eligibility to join the cooperative.
Step 5: Welcome to the Coop!
Once you pass the background check, you're officially part of the cooperative. Congratulations, and welcome to a new way of driving in Minnesota!
